Freestyle Sketching
We can’t all be a modern Picasso, but that doesn’t mean you shouldn’t give Freestyle Sketching a shot. All of our classes focus on the process, rather than the end result of art. We offer wine glass painting parties and classes that let you go outside the usual canvas.
Personalize a wine or beer glass with simple, elegant designs while you enjoy a glass of wine or beer.
We provide all art supplies as well as easy to follow instructions along with our talented artists to help you complete your artwork.
These personalized wine glasses are perfect to use on special occasions such as weddings, anniversaries, or birthdays. So why not bring your bridal entourage in for a one-of-a-kind bachelorette party? Celebrate your anniversary and design cute couple glasses with your partner. Throw an adult birthday and have the beer mugs as your party favors. The wine glass painting party possibilities are endless!

Expressive Open Art Studio (For ALL Ages)
Leave your busy schedules and the stresses of the world at the door as you enter our peaceful studio atmosphere.
No experience is necessary, and all ages are welcome!
Canvas painting is a favorite at our studio. You can design something of your own, or we have a huge variety of paintings to pick from, and we can pre-sketch images on the canvas for you!
You may alternatively choose to paint your own creation on wood, slate, tile, or glass. We also have various art media for those who just want to work with paper, and a few crafty projects as well.
You will receive guidance to inspire ideas and to enhance your unique project, but your project is your own creation.
During Open Studio at Art in Mind, we want artists to learn to feel confident in using their own imagination and their creative ability without step-by-step instruction or judgment.* This will build confidence and will help one to express creatively.
We understand that a project is never finished until you feel that it is; that is why our open studio time is purchased in sessions, so you can leave your work and come back to finish it at another time if you wish.
$55 per 1 hour session ($10 finish up fee for second hour). Price includes an 11"x 14" canvas. Some supplies are extra. No preregistration is necessary - check calendar for Open Art hours, as sometimes we have birthday parties and other events.
*Open Art Studio is not a fully instructed class, though we are here to guide you and to provide basic art instruction, samples, ideas, as well as various stencils/tracers to help ensure your success. Please keep in mind that you will be working independently as we come around the room to assist.

Art Therapy

WE HAVE CERTIFIED ART THERAPY PRACTIONERS ON STAFF.
Art Therapy is an integrative mental health and human services art workshop that enriches the lives of individuals, families, and communities through active art-making, creative process, applied psychological theory, and human experience within a psychotherapeutic relationship. Art Therapy, effectively supports personal and relational treatment goals as well as community concerns. Art Therapy is used to improve cognitive and sensory-motor functions, foster self-esteem and self-awareness, cultivate emotional resilience, promote insight, enhance social skills, reduce and resolve conflicts and distress, and advance societal and ecological change.
We work with people who are challenged with medical and mental health problems, as well as individuals seeking emotional, creative, and spiritual growth. Through integrative methods, art therapy engages the mind, body, and spirit in ways that are distinct from verbal articulation alone. Kinesthetic, sensory, perceptual, and symbolic opportunities invite alternative modes of receptive and expressive communication, which can circumvent the limitations of language. Visual and symbolic expression gives voice to experience, and empowers individual, communal, and societal transformation.
Art therapy is associated with sustained improvement in cognitive function in the elderly with mild neurocognitive disorder. Arts‐based therapies are generally considered as interventions managing manifestations of dementia, as they may help to slow cognitive deterioration, address symptoms related to psychosocially challenging behaviors and improve quality of life.
Art Therapy has been shown to help people with PSTD, Autism, Dementia, Alzheimer’s, Depression, and ADHD.

Many of us struggle with anxiety and depression and haven’t been able to find a way to manage the overwhelming impact they can have on everyday life, including relationships, sleeping patterns, or ability to focus and function.
FOR A LOVED ONE
Watching a loved one suffer or go through a challenging time can be painful and trigger helpless feelings. You alone may not have the tools to help them process and communicate what they are going through, but support is available.
Clients do not need to possess artistic skills, as art therapy leverages our natural abilities to use creativity and art media to channel and identify feelings and memories that may not be accessed as easily with words. We encourage psychiatrists, psychologists, social workers, or any mental health or medical professional to contact us regarding the art therapy services we offer.
Individual sessions typically run for 50-55 minutes and cost $150. Sliding scale sessions are also available upon request and financial need. Please contact Jersey Girl Art Therapy Practice Program Manager at 727-810-3542 ext 1000 for more information. We accept payment via credit card, Venmo, cash, and check.
Our Art Therapy Practice is an out of network provider. While you are responsible for paying our fee at time of service, we can provide a receipt or “superbill” that you can submit to your insurance provider for possible out of network reimbursement. Individuals may also be able to use their FSA or HSA health reimbursement accounts to pay session fees. Please make sure to check with your insurance provider first for details regarding your coverage.
24 hour notice is required for canceling an appointment. If notice is provided in less than 24 hours, you will be responsible for paying your session fee in full.
At the beginning of treatment, it is recommended that you or your loved one meet with your therapist weekly in order to establish the relationship and continuity. However, the overall length of treatment and frequency of sessions is determined on an individual basis. Depending on treatment goals, you may engage in therapy sessions for a few months or for up to a year or longer. This is determined by your comfort level and the clinical evaluation of your therapist which will be revisited and re-evaluated as therapy progresses.

SENIOR ART AND CRAFT CLUB
Our Non Profit, the Suncoast Outreach Society has an Art & Craft Group for Seniors. Senior Arts and Crafts group will held on Wednesdays at 9:30 AM until 11:30 AM in our main studio.
This group is only open to Seniors 55 +. who are members of either our Art Studio or the SOS.

DAYCARE and SUMMER CAMP KIDS: We are offering a painting workshop for day care and summer camp groups. We come to your location. We can handle lots of kids for a 2-hour painting class .
Signups close on May 15th. Daycare and Summer Camp starts on May 29th.
Art Studio Memberships
We offer Art Studio memberships. Our Art Studio members can come in to use the studio equipment (Cricut Machines, 3d Printer, Stamps, Stencils, Embossing Folders, Die Cut Machines, etc.) They also get discounts off of workshops, crops and studio and hall rental services. HOME SCHOOL AND AFTER SCHOOL KIDS PROGRAM
1 on 1 art class starting at $45 per week. Our art class is designed to introduce your child to various art mediums such as pencil and charcoal sketching, working with polymer clay, acrylic painting on canvas, watercolors, oil pastels, chalk pastels, and paper mache as well as learning about art and art history. We work at their pace and work on their interests.
Classes offered via Zoom or in Person.
KIDS SUMMER ART WORKSHOPS
Kids Summer Art Workshops- held every Tuesday from June to Aug- Workshops range from $25 to $65 per child. See our website to see what workshops are available. We also hold these workshops over all school breaks. (Spring, Winter and Summer)
We are planning to add music, singing, and acting classes to our After School Arts Program for kids during school breaks and after school. We are hoping to have this available by soon. If you know of any instructors who might be interested in teaching, please contact us.
